Quotation Connection

It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything.” Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club
Chuck Palahniuk's quote means that you are not fully free in life until you have lost all you have cared about.
In the novel, We Are Soldiers Still, Harold Moore goes back to Ia Drang to meet with old enemies after both of the sides lost many of their own. Moore goes back and and talks about the battle with the old NVA Generals, something that takes a lot of courage and strength to do. Moore lost some of his friends in the battle and saw other Americans die. When Moore was talking to a General, the General said "your machine guns killed my son".

  1. Grammar- No commas before and after We Are Soldiers Still. You wrote and twice in a row--and and,
Entry- Well, there's not much to work with. It seems that you stopped writing randomly-maybe you didn't finish? I think that you are on the right track with your analysis of the quote but try to elaborate a little more. Also, try zoning in on one particular scene where the quotation is demonstrated. State the scene and then focus on that scene. Say what happened and then say how what happened demonstrates the quote. Right now, you're sort of all over the place.
