The main character of the book Alex Rider Point Blank is, well,
Alex Rider. Alex is adventurous and courageous. Alex is considered adventurous
because he acts reluctant to going on these missions but on the inside Alex is
really very happy about the agency sending him away. He goes on adventures and
on these missions all over the world, this time in the French Alps, and he
enjoys them deep down. Alex is courageous because when the agency sends him in
to gather certain intelligence about anything that is going on, he is
courageous and gives it a hundred and ten percent instead of chickening out in
the presence of a firearm. He strides to go into the midst of the fighting and
get involved and to help. The narrator says ", Sometimes he wished that
the whole business with M16 had never happened. But at the same time-he had to
admit it-part of him wanted it all to happen again." (Page 13). This
proves that Alex is adventurous because he thrives on the feeling of danger and
activity as well as the adventure of it all. Alex says during a firefight
", Give me a gun!'...'No I’ve got orders. At the first sign of trouble,
you're to get out of the way...'" (Page 196) Since Alex is in a gunfight
and has orders to hide he should hide but since Alex is so courageous, he wants
to get in the fight and help out. I have just finished this book so I know what
happens to him, but I will predict what will happen to him as the series goes
on. I believe as I get into the later books I believe that Alex will become
more wise and better at his job because of his passion and will power.
