Catching Fire

Catching Fire: Suzanne Collins

Catching Fire is the second sequel to the Hunger Games. In The Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark have survived the 74th Hunger Games, but in doing so they find themselves the subject of whispers against The Capitol.Katniss and Peeta realise they must be very careful as if they make one mistake, things could become very dangerous.
The Capitol wants Katniss to pay for what she did in The Arena and the only thing that stands between Katniss and a terrible fate for her and her family is the popularity of her and Peeta's presumed "love affair".Catching Fire sees The 75th Hunger Games approaching. This will be a huge event everywhere and The Capitol has plans to make it even bigger. This time The Hunger Games Champions from previous years, a male and female from each District, will be sent back to The Arena. This means Katniss and Peeta are going back to the Hunger Games. But this time not as tributes but as mentors like Haymitch was to Katniss. As action rises so does Katniss's thoughts about who she has feelings for. Is it going to be Gale or Peeta? And will Katniss and her tributes of district 12 survive?
