Alex Cross is back in Kiss the Girls by James Patterson. This homocide detective and his partner, John Sampson, have been given a new case, and this case is a tough one. Two pychopaths in opposite parts of the U.S. have been kidnapping beautiful women, abusing them, and sometimes killing them. I like how the author sets up this situation.
Now, Cross and Sampson must find out how to stop not one but two people before it is too late. This puts the duo in a tough situation. Not only do they have to figure out the killers' patterns, but they have to figure out how to be in two places at once. I think these stuggles and obstacles make the story interesting and more enjoyable to read. Will Cross catch the killers or will he lose his own life in the process? Read the book to find out.
There are many things that I like about this book so far. My favorite aspect of this book is that the author goes back and forth between the protagonists and the antagonists. What I mean by this is that Patterson will share Cross's point of view and then switch to the killers' points of view. This helps me fully understand both sides of the story.
