Dancergirl by Carol M. Tanzman (edited)

In the book Dancergirl by Carol M. Tanzman, the main character, Alicia, becomes an online sensation. Dance is her passion, and her life mostly revolves around it. She lives in New York City with her mother, where dance is an every day activity.
Alicia would best be described as dedicated. She is dedicated in various ways. First off, she is a very dedicated dancer. She never gives up and strives until she gets something right. Second, when a private video of Alicia was released to the internet, Alicia did not give up into finding out who filmed the video. "If Jacy doesn't want you to know about something, there's no way you'll know. Unless of course, you do a little bit of detective work on your own." She is determined on figuring things out. She was very dedicated into finding out who this person is, and what their background is. She never backs down and always fulfills her goal.
Alicia is also thought of as committed. In dance, everything has to be perfect for her. Being one of the best dancers is one of her main goals in life. "The beat drives my muscles. Halfway across the room, I hit the timing of the second leap just right and find myself airborne. Yes! With toes pointed hard, I finish strong, controlling the landing." Once she accomplishes something in dance, she is very proud and could not feel any better.
This book is very interesting and intense so far. I really enjoy it! I recommend this book to readers who are interested in mysteries and suspense. I rate this book an 8/10.
